Meet Our Teachers!

At Bella Vida Yoga Studio, we value the importance of intention as a means of connection . We believe that anyone is capable of teaching the asanas (poses), but it takes a deeper connection to the overall practice in order to touch peoples' lives. We offer an assortment of different types of classes from teachers with different backgrounds and styles. We cater to students at all levels in their practice, no matter their physical and spiritual needs.

JAMIE

Studio Assistant, Instructor

Jamie's yoga journey began after a severe shoulder injury ended her athletic career while training for the 2016 Swimming Olympic Trials. She then started looking for a new physical activity that would be both physically and mentally challenging, while fitting within the needs of her body. Once she allowed her competitive guard to diffuse, she was able to experience all of the benefits that a yoga practice had to offer. She continues to remind herself to accept the things she can’t do and embrace the things she can. Her passion is helping people improve their physical self awareness.

Jamie is a 200 hour RYT with additional training in Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Trauma, Fascia, and Yoga Anatomy. She is also a Reiki Practitioner and is currently completing Sound Healing Practitioner Training. Email her with any studio questions at jamie.bellavidayogastudio@gmail.com.

Instructor

Brett is a 200-hour RYT who fell in love with yoga over 15 years ago as a way to escape the stress of corporate America and follow her passion for wellness. Now, as a health coach, wellness blogger, and busy mama -- she has found yoga to be a perfect compliment to her passions. Brett trained in 2017 under Julie Gurevich and Heather Sheridan of Poe Yoga in Short Hills, NJ. She is currently enrolled in Gabrielle Bernstein's Spirit Junkie Masterclass. Brett practices Vinyasa yoga, and leads a powerful and empowering class to help her students increase their strength and flexibility -- both physically and mentally.

Roberta has been practicing Yoga for the last 15 years and teaching since 2013. Her classes are both powerful and playful, often set to an eclectic collection of music. She has been trained in vinyasa style Soul Sweat Asana and in Yin yoga. She believes in the power of intention and that yoga has a way of transforming a person from the inside out. Her favorite movie is Moonstruck and she lived in the Brooklyn neighborhood where it was filmed. She also makes a mean lasagna! Come join her on the mat!

Rachael

Instructor

Sometimes, we go through experiences that spark a movement in our lives. For Rachael, it was experiencing a series of events that life was throwing at her all at once.  In 2016 she started the new year with the notion that whatever opportunity she was given, she would say yes to. With graduating from Montclair State, getting a promotion at work and being chosen to go on a mission trip to Haiti with Living Water International; her movement of growth and perspective began.  Rachael was then given the chance to travel to Nicaragua with Onyx yoga studio in March of that year for an immersive yoga experience. At the end of that trip she had made it a goal to become a certified yoga teacher. In June of 2017 she received her 200 RYT for Hatha Yoga and is also versed in Vinyasa flow. Even though her journey is just beginning, her passion for connection and knowledge exudes through her energy. Rachael believes that even when we achieve one goal, there are always more around the corner.
